Shock Wave Therapy

Shockwave

Miracle Wave Shock Therapy is a non-invasive treatment that rapidly relieves chronic and acute musculoskeletal pain by sending high-peak acoustic pressure waves into the injured tissue to:

  • Promote soft tissue repair
  • Regenerate damaged cells
  • Accelerate the healing process

The Miracle Wave® is a top-of-the-line treatment solution that utilizes acoustic wave therapy –also known as shock wave therapy, AWT, RPW, EPAT, or RSWT – to regenerate tissue and promote faster healing. It has been used in Europe for decades and is now being recognized in the United States and we have it! The Miracle Wave® helps stimulate the body’s natural, self-healing process by:

  • temporarily increasing local blood circulation
  • relieving minor muscle aches and pains
  • raising the body’s pain threshold

Both acute and persistent pain in the muscles and joints can be treated using acoustic treatment. It is frequently used to treat painful ailments like arthritis, tennis elbow, jumper’s knee, and plantar fasciitis with heel spurs. It’s particularly useful in the treatment of pain caused by:

  • Myofascial dysfunction
  • Tendinopathy and tendonitis
  • Trigger points
  • Repetitive stress injuries
  • Enthesopathy
  • Soft tissue strain

Patients have reported post-treatment results such as:

  • Relaxation of muscle and connective tissue
  • Improved microcirculation
  • Noticeably elevated stimulation across the injured area
  • Acceleration of metabolic activity
  • Heightened neurovascular performance
  • Increased serotonin hormone release
  • Significant stress reduction as a result of lowered cortisol levels
  • Overall revitalization, following a patient’s completed course of treatment

What Does A Treatment Include?

You simply lay back as a wand gently moves over your skin’s surface, directing sound waves toward the desired location. The sound of mechanical energy, which you can hear as tapping inside the wand, creates the waves. Each session lasts approximately 15 minutes. Most illnesses require three to six treatments, with higher effects appearing over a complete course of therapy.
